We study the roles, duties, and responsibilities security officers hold, including state laws and regulations governing private security within Florida. Our studies cover the fundamentals of using force, emergency responses, and basic first aid or CPR techniques. We cover professional ethics, effective communication skills, and critical terrorism awareness concepts.

Course Requirements and Completion

The minimum course duration is 40 hours (often 42 hours) to satisfy the state's mandate. Prospective students must be 18 years old or older, be a lawful U.S. resident or citizen, and have no disqualifying felony convictions. Upon successfully finishing the training, students receive the necessary certificate to submit their official license applications. Our program also prepares students completely for the final exam required by FDACS.
